MEET MARGUERITE
BRISBANE STYLIST & DESIGNER
Marguerite has a unique talent for transforming her clients’ wardrobes and giving them the confidence to express themselves through clothes.
Ever since she was a child, she has created outfits in original ways. As a teenager she made her own skirt out of a blue and white checked café curtain and wore it to a school party, receiving much admiration from her friends.
A childhood trip to Europe opened her eyes to a style of fashion which still resonates for Marguerite today. She has a love of French striped Breton tees and collects, curates and sells original Breton tees and vintage workwear through pop-up markets and her business on Instagram.
Marguerite empowers her clients to look at their wardrobes differently. She helps clients use what already exists in their wardrobes, analysing garments to discover what does, and doesn’t work, and combining garments in ways that her clients may not have thought of before.
Through her home visits, Marguerite loves helping her clients make order of their existing wardrobe and improve the use of the garments they already own.
Marguerite has styled clients from 15 to 85 years old, showcasing each one’s unique personality and style.
Having studied interior decoration, Marguerite also has a passion for antiques and vintage homewares, stemming from her time working in her father’s antique auction rooms.

Both of her grandmothers were seamstresses, so the phrase ‘make do and mend’ was taught to Marguerite early in life and is a lesson she applies to her styling today.
