Queen Street Pop-Up In Conjunction With BFF and Fashion Queensland
After the highlight of the BFF Fashion Parade, it was great to have a physical store in the very heart of the Queen Street Mall and invite customers in to see, touch, feel and try the latest collection. My fellow designers: @chamani.official @madiandpip and @soulsilk.co and I had a wonderful week sharing our journeys in design with each other and the many people from all over Australia and beyond who came to visit. The MMA House Dress has found its way to new homes in Perth, Roma, China and Chicago. Special thanks to Laura Churchill from @brisbanefashionmonth for her continuing support for emerging designers and female led small business. So grateful to @brisbanecity and @queenstreetmall for creating this space for us in the heart of Brisbane CBD.
Brisbane Fashion Month - Slow Fashion Parade
Brisbane Fashion Month and Fashion Queensland invited Marguerite Mary Agatha to show our Spring/Sumer '23 designs on the runway as part of the month long celebration of Queensland fashion. I was honoured to be included as it was my very first Runway Show! The House Dress in the new Liberty of London fabrics came alive on the gorgeous models and I was beyond excited to be sitting front row with my family and very good friends. The icing on the cake came in the shape of the beautiful Martina McGrath Millinery @martina_mcgrath_millinery head pieces and hats worn by the models creating that French look so well. Thank you Martina. The other local 'Slow Fashion' designers featured in the parade were - Soul Silk, DIY Girl, Pink Pineapple, Juliette Et Felicity, Kablooie Store, Cavi.r.07 and The Sewloist and I was excited to be showing with them and meeting creatives with a similar concern for the environment and being mindful of fast fashion waste. The parade was a great personal milestone for me and I have had a great response from my followers and beyond about the new floral range in the pretty fabrics. They will all be available on the website from mid November '23. All are limited in number so don't delay. Many thanks to Laura Churchill and Kymberly Louise from @brisbanefashionmonth and @fashion_queensland for their exemplary organising skills behind the scenes and for @brisbanecity and @queenstreetmall for a fabulous venue. Photographers: Jessica Dunncliff @vethaakmedia and backstage Caroline Atwood CA Creative. Hair: @stefanhair @claireandreaa. Models: Tiann, Chelsea, Sapphire, Adele, Nicole, Emmy, Ruby and Leah.

The elegant Brisbane Arcade has been the hub of Brisbane based Fashion Designers and fashion for almost 100 years. When I was 17 I had my first dress design made by a dressmaker in the Arcade. To be able to come full circle and launch my House Dress design within the arcade was a dream come true. Thank you to Laura Churchill from Brisbane Fashion Month and Brisbane Arcade for supporting local designers with this initiative.
